Adding Documents
The following document types can be uploaded to your Profile:
- ✅ PDF files
- ✅ JPEG images
- ✅ PNG images
- ⚠️ HEIC images
- ⚠️ TIFF images
Document Types
Documents are categorised as:
- Certificates: for all your maritime related qualifications and your Discharge Book. A list of all the certs we recognise is here. Start typing a general word from the certificate type (eg "Fire" or "Master" and select the right one). If the scanner doesn't recognise the certificate or the issuer please let us know using the link.
- IDs & Visas
- Passports
- Other: for all other documents. Please try and profile using one of the suggested document names as this will really help the businesses you share your docs with!
PDF issues
If the document scanner fails to scan a PDF file, it may be due to a PDF formatting issue.
To resolve this either take a screenshot of the PDF document and upload the image file, or try printing or saving the PDF file as a new PDF.
